2011 MRS Spring Meeting

The 2011 Materials Research Society (MRS) Spring Meeting will be held April 25 - 29, 2011, at the Moscone West Convention Center and the San Francisco Marriott in San Francisco, California. The 2011 MRS Spring Meeting continues to be recognized as a premier technological event by the world's most influential materials science and engineering professionals. It features the very best of interdisciplinary materials research in new and emerging areas of science and technology. An exhibition is held in conjunction with the meeting features international exhibitors from all sectors of the global materials science and engineering communities. Physical Electronics will have a booth at this exhibit and we would love to have you stop by and learn the latest about:

  • Nanostructure chemical analysis of nanowires and nanorods using Scanning Auger
  • New cluster ion sources for polymer depth profiling
  • 3D analysis with TOF-SIMS

We hope to see you there!

Along with the exhibition, some special collaborative talks will be presented:

On Wednesday, April 27 at 8:00 PM, Dr. John Hammond of PHI, will present a poster on "TiO 2 Nanotube Growth Mechanism Studied with Scanning Auger Spectroscopy". This poster co-authored with PHI Scientist, Dennis Paul and Prof. Patrick Schmuki of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, features data acquired on the PHI 700X i.

On Thursday, April 28 at 2:45 PM,, Dr. Uri Givan of the University of Tel-Aviv, will give an oral presentation titled "Direct Measurement of Inhomogeneous Longitudinal Dopant Distribution in SiNWs Using Nano-Probe Scanning Auger Microscopy". This talk, co-authored with PHI Scientists, Dennis Paul and Dr. John Hammond, features data acquired on the PHI 700Xi .

On Friday, April 29 at 9:00 AM, Prof. J.J. Shyue of the National Taiwan University, will give an oral presentation titled "Molecular Dynamic-secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (D-SIMS) Excited by

C 60 + -Ar + Co-ionization." This talk features data using the PHI 5000 VersaProbe .
